Support for Diversity and Equity
Washington University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery welcomes all applicants to our externship program. We firmly align with Washington University’s academic goal of fostering a diverse academic community, and our goal as a department is to train the next generation of orthopedic surgical leaders and transform the future of orthopedic care through discovery and innovation.
Support in the form of a $2,000 stipend is available for externship applicants who belong to groups that have been traditionally disadvantaged, underrepresented, or inadequately supported in medical training, or to those experiencing financial hardship. Stipends may be used for transportation, housing, fees and other living expenses. To apply for the stipend, please submit your CV, Step One score and statement of interest (200 words or less) to Tracy Line, linetr@wustl.edu, Manager of Education.
