As the Assistant Dean for Student Diversity and Engagement, I invite you to explore all that we have to offer at Washington University School of Medicine.

The recruitment and retention of students from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds are key components of the Office of Diversity Programs’ mission to promote cultural diversity throughout the medical school. Many resources at the School and throughout the St. Louis community are available to our students and faculty to assist them in achieving success and maximizing their experiences.

As a division of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, ODP provides a supportive community for medical students through networking opportunities and social gatherings with residents, fellows and faculty. In conjunction with various student activities and organizations, we sponsor several programs, workshops and lecture series focusing on issues such as cultural competence, addressing healthcare disparities and improving public health.

As you consider your options for medical school, I encourage you to take a look at Washington University School of Medicine.

I wish you the best as you embark upon the medical school application process.
