Who are the giants in your life that have inspired, assisted, encouraged, or set
an example for your journey into medicine?
My mom is easily the most influential giant in my life. Most of my early interactions with medicine have been her health experiences, before and after coming to the U.S., and seeing her navigate the healthcare system inspired me to take a more active role to help others like her. She sets a high standard of
empathy and strength, which I have tried to honor in my life and journey into medicine.
