Washington University School of Medicine participates in the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities™ (VSLO®) program, which enables medical and public health students to pursue short-term learning opportunities in locations away from their Home institutions.

The Visiting Student Programs at Washington University School of Medicine provide funding and networking opportunities to fourth year medical students interested in our residency training programs. These programs enhance the exposure of students considering careers in academic medicine to the Washington University Medical Center, while promoting cultural diversity on the medical school campus.

All applicants who are fourth year medical students in good standing at their respective schools in the United States are welcome to apply. Students who are members of groups underrepresented or inadequately supported in medical training or who are socioeconomically disadvantaged are particularly encouraged to apply. Program support for participants includes funding to help offset the cost of travel, housing, fees, and other eligible expenses.

Washington University currently offers the following programs:

Please note that there is a separate application process for each program.
