April 6-9, 2017
The annual Office of Diversity Programs Revisit Program gives accepted underrepresented students the opportunity to take another look at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) before they make their final decision regarding medical school.
The weekend is structured so that the accepted students can spend time with each other as well as WUSM’s chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) Thursday evening through mid-day Friday.
Beginning with Friday afternoon and for the remainder of their stay, the Revisit Weekend visitors will participate in a combined Second Look Weekend with all other accepted students. The Revisit/Second Look Weekends are a great way for accepted students to get to know each other and some of the currently enrolled students, as well as to hear about important research being conducted by WUSM faculty.
“I wanted to let you know that the Second Look Weekend you all put together could not have been more thoughtfully and strategically planned to showcase Washington University St. Louis School of Medicine and the City of St. Louis. Thank you so much for hosting me this past weekend. I was amazed by the attention to me and to detail at every turn—going on rounds with Dr. Ross, touring the psychiatric wing, hearing about the research opportunities and extracurriculars that were clearly tailored to me with great thought and consideration. And, St. Louis was great– the zoo and local pub scene. Getting to know the current students, faculty, and future students reinforced for me that everyone associated with Washington University School of Medicine are my kind of folks. I had a great weekend thanks to you all.”
