Who are the giants in your life that have inspired, assisted, encouraged, or set an example for your journey into medicine?
My abuelo was a huge reason for me to get into medicine. He was an endocrinologist and a lifelong learner of art and history, and he found ways to integrate his knowledge in both fields that fascinated me growing up. He poured
into me and my education, and I will forever be indebted to his dedication to my upbringing. Furthermore, the older women in my life (my mother, my grandmother, and my abuela) always encouraged me to be the very best I could
be, no matter the field, and demonstrated what it meant to be strong, dedicated, and talented women.
