Mayande Mlungwana

Mayande Mlungwana is a second-year medical student born and raised in Yorktown, Indiana. In his free time, he likes to challenge his creativity through writing.

“Writing is particularly important to me because it acts as a creative outlet for my various experiences and philosophies. For example, I’ve written a Science Fiction novel exploring the raise of AI, the interplay of being Black, African, and American as well as the political factors impacting the African continent, etc. It’s also fun to let my imagination run wild while straining my mind in something other than Science or schoolwork.
