We strive to create a diverse academic medical community.
In addition to a number of annual events, the Office of Diversity Programs sponsors and promotes a number of community outreach programs throughout the educational pipeline to enhance the exposure of students from underrepresented and economically disadvantaged groups to careers in science and medicine.
We believe that this pipeline approach is the most successful way to develop students who will assume leadership roles on a local, national and international level.
Opportunities at Washington University School of Medicine and other institutions include programs for
- High school students
- Undergraduate students
- Current students
- Graduate students
- Residents and Fellows
- Junior faculty and scientists
In addition, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion provides training and education opportunities for faculty, staff and hiring managers.
