Johnnetta B. Cole is also the director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African A rt\, the only national museum in the United States dedicated to the collect ion\, exhibition\, conservation and study of the arts of Africa. Dr. Cole i s board chair of the Johnnetta B. Cole Global Diversity and Inclusion Insti tute\, founded at Bennett College for Women in Greensboro\, N.C. The missio n of the nonprofit institute is to create\, communicate and continuously su pport the case for diversity and inclusion in the workplace through educati on\, training research and publications. Dr. Cole served as president of th e Bennett College for Women from 2002-2007 and she was president of Spelman College in Atlanta from 1987-1997.
A distinguished and respected int ellectual\, Dr. Cole speaks at conferences and universities throughout the country.
