 ntic connections. She is an ordained Dharma teacher in the Plum Village tra
 dition founded by Thich Nhat Hanh and a member of the Religious Society of 
 Friends (Quakers). Valerie is an accredited leadership coach\, internationa
 l retreat leader\, writer\, and Chief Mindfulness Officer of Lead Smart Coa
 ching\, LLC\, specializing in application and integration of mindfulness an
 d leadership\, and is a Co-Director of Georgetown’s Institute for transform
 ational leadership. She holds the following degrees: Juris Doctorate\, Mast
