David R. Williams\, M.P.H.\, Ph.D.\, is th e guest speaker for the Office of Diversity Programs' annual Martin Luther King Celebration lecture. Dr. Williams is the Florence Sprague Norman and Laura Smart Norman Professor of Public Health at the Harvard School of Pub lic Health and Professor of African and African American Studies and Sociol ogy at Harvard University. He is internationally recognized as a leading s ocial scientist focused on social influences on health and was a key scient ific advisor to the award-winning PBS film series\, Unnatural Causes: I s Inequality Making Us Sick?
