To Combat Gun Violence, Clean Up the Neighborhood

Alumna, Dr. Eugenia South, MD, MSHP, published an essay in the New York Times on gun violence in Black neighborhoods.
“I knew I would devote my career to fighting gun violence after seeing the devastation wrought on Black men and their families as a WUSTL med student,” stated Dr. South.

Also, along with alumni, Atheendar Venkataramani, MD, PhD, Eugenia has been awarded a nearly $10M grant from NIH to study upstream interventions addressing structural racism.
