Johns Hopkins School of Medicine – GYN/OB Diversity Subinternship

Deadline: May 3, 2021

Through the Diversity Subinternship Program, one student will have the unique opportunity to complete a rotation at the nationally recognized Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins. This will be a three-week, inpatient rotation on the maternal-fetal medicine and labor and delivery service at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

You will spend part of your time working with the antepartum service caring for high-risk obstetric patients with the faculty in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. You will also have time devoted to labor and delivery services where you will work with our Division of Academic Generalists along with our maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the care of a wide range of obstetric patients. In addition to caring for patients, you will prepare and present a 15-minute talk during the last week of the rotation on a topic of your choosing.

The program participant will receive a $4,000 stipend. This will be used to cover the cost of travel, housing and any registrar fees that exceed $500.
