CU Denver School of Medicine – Visiting Medical Student Diversity Grant

Deadline: March, 10 2017

The Department of Surgery along with the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery are firmly committed to training surgical leaders for future generations. Until there is more than symbolic minority representation among medical leadership, there will not be a substantial evolution of the profession.

The Medical Student Diversity Grant has been set up through the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy to support medical students interested in pursuing a career in general surgery and vascular surgery. This four-week clerkship will focus on exposing students to advanced vascular and endovascular therapies in the setting of a large quaternary referral campus centered in Aurora, Colorado where over 100 languages are spoken. Interested students should contact us for further details of this unique opportunity. Funding includes a stipend to cover housing and travel costs.

The grant is available to eligible full- time medical students in good standing at an LCME-accredited US Medical School through 2017-18 academic year. Clerkships are four weeks in duration. Please contact us for further information: (303) 724-9251.
